How to Join the Trinity Church Family
Trinity Church is a family, adopted by God (Gal. 4:6-7; Eph. 1:5). From Him we receive the privilege to worship Jesus together, serve in His Kingdom, and be His children. We care for each other, pray for each other, and serve together. Guests are always welcome within our household. For those interested in transitioning from guest to family member, the membership process is your opportunity to learn more about us and our opportunity to get to know you.
The leadership of Trinity Church strives to love and care for its members well (Eph. 4:11-12; Gal. 6:10). In turn, we rely on our members to accomplish our collective work as the church (Eph. 2:10). As an organization, we operate with minimal staff, budget, and programming because we trust the Holy Spirit to move through the transformed hearts of our members, mobilizing the collective body of Christ in humble ways to love our families, love our city, and glorify God on His terms. The call is demanding (Mark 8:34-35). The opposition is great (1 Peter 5:8). But Jesus goes with us (Matt. 28:20). If you'd like to become a member, here's how:
STEP 1. Fill out an Interest Form
You can do this by going to the membership link on our web site. Once you’ve submitted this interest form, one of our pastors will be in contact with you.
STEP 2. Apply for Membership
STEP 3. Do What Members Do:
STEP 4. Attend Membership Class
A Member at Trinity must have completed our Membership Class. We hold our Membership Class four times a year: in January, April, July, and October. To register, follow steps 1-2 above.
STEP 5. Complete Class
Attend the class. Some of the class notes will be on our Web site. Classes take place at Trinity’s building in the lower level.
STEP 6. Schedule Interview with an Elder
Once the class is complete, an Elder will contact you and arrange a time to hear of your personal walk with Christ. Currently this testimony is video recorded and shown during one of our gatherings. You will also be encouraged to ask any questions that you might have.
STEP 7. Complete Interview
After a satisfactory interview process, you will be presented to the congregation as a candidate for membership. The congregation will take several weeks to get to know you, learn more about your desire to be part of the family, and dialogue with the elders on your behalf.
STEP 8. Be Welcomed into the Family
Several weeks following your presentation as a candidate, you will be presented as a member. Typically, we do this by recognizing you by name and having someone from the congregation pray for you as a new member of our family.
